Mountain and Inclement Weather
Drivers Ms. Lily and Ms. B were outstanding drivers - courteous and professional. Drive was on mountain roads in inclement weather, and we felt our drivers took care with safety as a priority. Roads were challenging and both drivers in each direction handled potholes, narrow road, curves and turns really well. Bathroom on the bus was sketchy though - light didn't work and toilet didn't flush. Administrative help booking the trip with Serge was excellent.
Hard to trust
We enlisted a small mini-bus from TourCoach to shuttle guests to and from our wedding reception. The location was a bit remote and had no parking, so all guests needed to be shuttled from the site back to their cars.
POSITIVES: I received responsive service during the reservation and was able to easily book what I needed at a good price. On the day of, the van arrived on time, the driver was pleasant, and the van was of good quality. Everybody was successfully transferred to the wedding.
NEGATIVES: We had reserved the shuttle from 2:30 in the afternoon to 2 AM. Unfortunately for us, the last time the van came to get us was around 11. This left ~20 people (who had been drinking) stranded at this remote location. I called and didn't receive any immediate help, but a call back a few days later, where TourCoach asserted that we were not there and the driver left only after great pains in looking for us. This is just not possible - we were at the same location the whole time and it is a small place - there is no way not to find 20 loud drunk people there. They say that the driver called me several times, which didn't show on my phone (possible since service was bad), but, of course, no message was left. Basically, the driver left early on us.
After dealing with the allegations that somehow this was our fault, I was able to negotiate a partial refund of 25% - the fraction of the time that driver did not work. This was quite generous on my part I believe. I waited a month for payment and nothing. Finally, after asking again, I got my 25% refund. I think someone not paying attention to their account never would have gotten their refund.
