Customer Reviews
Less than Satisfactory
First and far most, the bus driver we had during the trip named Denis Servais was extremely rude and passive aggressive. Not only with his actions but also in the manner of which he was speaking with the passengers. For example, while on our way to the destination, we had forgotten an item in the undercarriage of the bus, we politely asked him if he would be able to stop so we could take it out, to which he had no problem with. The issue ensued when we explained that there would be no longer any need to stop the bus, for we had managed to solve the problem. He then replied very rudely to one of our supervising adults, that he need not our permission to stop the vehicle and that whenever he needed to do so he would. Furthermore, once we reached the destination for drop off, he got angry when we we’re asked to wait in the bus so that the groups that had reached there ahead of us could check in, so that the lobby would not be overcrowded. He informed us that he would need to drop us at the side of the entrance in the 35-degree heat because he had other things to take care off and he could not wait for this. His temperament throughout the trip was less than ideal, he also never responded to text messages we had, when inquiring about the port of entry we would use to re-enter the country and would be very curt and mean when responding.
Secondly, the maintenance of the bus. As I am sure you are aware, while on our way back at approximately 9pm, an hour or so away from the border, we got a flat tire. Which was less than ideal. I am sure that before trips, the companies make sure that the bus is capable to bring its passengers to and from their destination. However, it seems that this company has zero regards for the issue, for if it had been the case, we would have had a successful trip back. From the accounts of multiple passengers on the bus, before the tire gave up on the vehicle, there had been a constant beeping noise, almost signalling that something was wrong with the vehicle. However, the driver Denis, held zero regards to the issue, until of course the tire blew. Once the tire blew instead of immediately pulling over to the side, he then drove an additional 3 minutes before coming to a full stop. He explained that the tire had blew and that we would have to wait on Roadside Assistance. We waited. The assistance arrived after almost 2 hours and explained that the issue was not only the tire and that we would not be able to continue our journey on this bus. We then proceeded to drive to a bus rest stop, where we had to wait almost 4 hours for another bus to arrive. It was almost 4 am on Monday when the bus arrived. Multiple passengers had to call of work for they would need be able to make it, which was again less than ideal. We finally arrived at our destination at around 6am. Which is almost 6 hours after the planned arrival.
Great bus company! Highly recommended for weddings!
417 Bus Line was extremely affordable and easy to work with. You can book far in advance but only have to pay a few days before the event and they leave some flexibility to adjusting the times a bit for when you are booking months (or even a year) in advance. They were also extremely punctual. The bus driver was great and very accommodating. Would definitely use them again and recommend to others!
bus review
They were easy to work with, fairly quick with responses to us and before we finalized the contract they offered us an extra shuttle at the end of the night for an extra $100 which we accepted. We didn't end up needing it but it was a nice safety buffer at the end. It was totally unprovoked, they just offered it
Friendly and professional service
Of all the quotes I received, this was the most professional, reliable and cost effective price. Most other companies were $200-$600 more!
The driver was slightly late, but this was due to a bad traffic day, he had already called in to alert head office of this. We still arrived on time.
I wasn't anticipating, but the driver sat and waited for us all day, he was our dedicated driver, though we only requested pick-up and drop-off.
Driver was incredible friendly and excellent.
Good service
Bus were very clean.
